DuoPlug 3-Position IDC Receptacle
The TE Connectivity DuoPlug 1-966194-3 is a 3-position, single-row receptacle housing designed for IDC termination of discrete 22-24 AWG wire. The natural-colour housing accepts tin female sockets, and the free-hanging (in-line) mount lets you route the harness directly to the board edge without a right-angle adapter.
Field Fit: IDC Termination and Wire Range
What's really failing here? On a production line, it's usually a backed-out crimp terminal that's intermittent. No crimp tool, no terminal pull-force worry. The 22-24 AWG range covers most sensor and signal wiring in a panel. Can I re-pin it on site? Yes — the IDC slot is a one-shot termination, but the housing releases the wire with a small flat-blade, so you can re-terminate a fresh length of wire without scrapping the whole connector.
This receptacle mates with the DuoPlug PCB header — look for the matching 0.098" (2.50 mm) pitch, 3-position, through-hole or SMT header from the same series. The 'Mates to PCB' feature means the receptacle latches directly onto the header's shroud, no secondary lock needed.
