7-Position IDC Receptacle for Discrete or Ribbon Cable
The TE Connectivity AMPMODU MTE 103958-6 is a 7-position, single-row IDC receptacle designed for terminating 22-26 AWG discrete or ribbon cable without stripping or crimping.
This receptacle uses insulation displacement contacts (IDC) that pierce the wire insulation on termination — no crimp tool or contact pre-loading required. The wire range covers 22-26 AWG for both discrete wires and ribbon cable, making it a single-stock item for mixed-gauge harness builds. The closed-end feature prevents the cable from pushing through the back of the housing during termination or handling.
Mounting is free-hanging (in-line), so no panel cutout or board footprint is needed; the connector sits in the cable run and mates to a board-mounted header. The single-row, 7-position layout keeps the assembly narrow for tight cable routing.
