The TE Connectivity AMPMODU MTE 103975-6 is a 7-position, single-row IDC receptacle designed for mass-termination to 22-26 AWG ribbon cable. The closed-end design prevents the cable from pushing through the housing during termination, which keeps the wire registration consistent across all seven positions.
The IDC termination is a one-step mass-termination process: the ribbon cable is pressed into the insulation displacement slots, which pierce the insulation and make contact with the conductors. No wire stripping or crimping is needed. The free-hanging (in-line) mounting style means the connector is used as a cable-end receptacle, not a board-mounted part. The 22-26 AWG range covers standard 0.050" pitch ribbon cable, which is the most common type for IDC applications.
