The 1247002-2 is a Size 2, Style 300 member of TE's Mag-Mate magnetic wire terminal family, accepting 23-26 AWG magnet wire through a press-fit IDC termination. The Box IDC terminal cuts through the wire insulation on insertion — no stripping or soldering required. Available in Tape & Reel or Cut Tape for automated or hand placement.
Position vs the 18-20 AWG sibling
The 1247002-2 targets finer magnet wire (23-26 AWG) than the same-series 1394476-1, which handles 18-20 AWG via a pin termination. Both share the Mag-Mate Size 2 footprint — the wire gauge and termination style are the selection break, not the mounting interface.
