This is the reduced-diameter Mini BNC variant — smaller than a standard BNC — which saves panel space in dense video patch bays while maintaining the same 75 Ohm impedance. Rated to 2 GHz, it covers standard-definition and some HD-SDI video signals. The kit includes the connector body, an end cap, and a ferrule, all in a single tray package.
Termination and construction
The centre contact is brass with gold plating and is solder-terminated to the RG-179 centre conductor. The shield is crimped via the included ferrule — a standard field-termination method that gives a gas-tight connection to the braid.
