20-Position SFP Receptacle for Board-Edge Cage Mounting
SFP vs SFP+ Compatibility
The 1367073-2 uses the standard 20-position SFP mechanical interface. SFP+ modules share the same physical footprint and edge-connector layout, so this receptacle accepts both SFP and SFP+ transceivers. The difference between SFP and SFP+ is in the electrical signalling rate (up to 4.25 Gbps vs 10 Gbps), not the connector geometry — the receptacle itself does not limit the data rate; the host PCB trace design and the module's compliance determine that.
Solder Termination for SMT Assembly
Solder termination with surface-mount pads suits reflow assembly on standard SMT lines. Tape & Reel packaging feeds directly into a pick-and-place machine; Cut Tape availability covers prototype or low-volume builds without committing to a full reel.
