Terminal type and wire range
The 1394430-1 is a box IDC terminal in TE's Mag-Mate series, designed for 26-30 AWG magnetic wire termination. The RAST 5D style defines the housing interface and keying for the Mag-Mate system.
Wire gauge selection across the series
The 1394430-1 handles 26-30 AWG, while the 1740603-1 accepts finer 29.5-33 AWG and the 1394759-1 takes heavier 20-22 AWG — the IDC contact geometry changes with wire diameter.
