DuoPlug 2-Position IDC Receptacle
The TE Connectivity DuoPlug 1394918-2 is a 2-position, single-row receptacle designed for discrete wire IDC termination. The 0.197" (5.00 mm) pitch sets the board footprint for the mating pin header — a standard spacing for low-power signal interconnects. Tin-plated female sockets handle signal-level current; the plating grade is suited for applications where the connector is mated infrequently, not for high-cycle or corrosive environments.
Termination and Mating
Cable termination is IDC — the wire is pressed into the slot without stripping, a fast method for mass-termination of discrete wires. The connector mounts free-hanging (in-line) with a right-angle wire exit, which routes the cable parallel to the board surface. It mates to a PCB-mounted pin header; the mating half is a board-level component, not another free-hanging connector.
