Wire-to-wire splice terminal
The 142686-1 is a female quick-disconnect receptacle in TE's Mark III series, accepting 12-17 AWG wire with a 0.197" (5.00mm) tab width. The tin-plated phosphor bronze contact is terminated by crimp and intended for free-hanging inline use — the insulation diameter range is 0.079" to 0.126" (2.00mm to 3.20mm).
Tab fit and contact metal
Tab thickness is 0.031" (0.79mm) — a standard 0.197" tab receptacle. The phosphor bronze base with tin plating provides corrosion resistance for moderate-cycle applications; tin-on-tin interfaces are suitable where mating cycles stay below the fretting threshold typical of non-sealed environments.
