Board Layout and Wiring Fit
The 1546074-9: The through-hole mounting and 35° (145°) wire entry angle let you route conductors at an angle to the board, which helps when vertical clearance above the PCB is tight or when the wire bundle needs to turn immediately off the block. Wire termination uses a screw-driven rising cage clamp — the M3 screw (torque spec 0.79 Nm / 7.0 Lb-In) pulls a nickel-plated brass clamp up against the conductor, gripping solid or stranded wire from 12 AWG down to 30 AWG. The cage clamp design gives a gas-tight connection without damaging fine-strand wire, and the nickel plating on the clamp and screw resists corrosion in industrial cabinet environments.
Ganging Multiple Blocks Together
The housing includes an Interlocking (Side) feature — a dovetail-style key on each side that lets you snap adjacent blocks together into a wider terminal strip without extra brackets or end covers.
