Buchanan 1546215-2 — 2-Position PCB Terminal Block, 2.54mm Pitch
It terminates wires via a screw-driven rising cage clamp — the cage lifts as the M1.6 screw is tightened to 0.2 Nm (1.7 Lb-In), gripping the conductor against a tin-plated brass contact bar.
Wire Termination and Torque
The rising cage clamp accepts solid or stranded wire from 16 AWG down to 30 AWG. The M1.6 screw requires a controlled torque of 0.2 Nm (1.7 Lb-In) — over-tightening can strip the threads in the PA66 housing, while under-tightening risks a high-resistance joint. The clamp material is brass with nickel plating; the screw is stainless steel.
Electrical Ratings and Contact Plating
Rated 10 A at 150 V, this block handles moderate current for a 2.54mm-pitch terminal — enough for signal circuits, sensor loops, and auxiliary power feeds.
