Barrier Block, 3 Circuits, 30 A — Panel-Mount Power Distribution
The TE Connectivity Buchanan 1546310-3 is a 3-circuit barrier strip rated 30 A at 300 V, built for terminating power conductors up to 10 AWG in a panel-mount footprint. The 0.563" (14.30 mm) pitch gives enough room between terminals to land dual 10 AWG wires without crowding the screw heads — a common pain point on tighter-pitch blocks. The dual-wall barrier (2 Wall) isolates adjacent circuits physically, reducing the chance of a stray strand bridging across terminals during termination.
Wire Gauge and Termination — Screw Clamp with Closed Bottom
Wire entry is 10-22 AWG — the 10 AWG end is what makes this block a power distribution point rather than a signal terminal. The top termination is screws (steel, nickel finish), and the bottom termination is closed, meaning the screw clamp bears directly on the conductor without a separate wire-cage or pressure plate. Six wire entries (two per circuit) let you daisy-chain a feed and a load on the same circuit. The closed bottom keeps stray strands from exiting below the block, which matters when the strip is mounted against a grounded panel.
Mounting is chassis or panel via the integral flange — no DIN rail adapter needed, just two screws through the flange holes into the panel. The PBT insulation holds up under continuous 120°C ambient without softening the screw torque retention.
