Panel-Mount Barrier Block for Power Distribution
The TE Connectivity 1546670-2 is a 2-circuit Buchanan series barrier strip rated 25 A at 300 V, built for terminating power and control wiring inside an industrial enclosure. The 0.437" (11.10 mm) pitch gives enough clearance between terminals to land 14 AWG stranded wire under the screw clamp without crowding. Dual-wall barriers between circuits reduce the chance of a stray strand bridging to the adjacent terminal during termination — a practical safeguard when the panel is wired under time pressure.
What the 25 A / 300 V Rating Means for the Panel
The 25 A per-circuit rating is sized for distributing branch-circuit power inside the cabinet. At 300 V, it covers common industrial control voltages with margin.
This block mounts to a chassis or panel via the integral flange — it is not a DIN-rail part, so plan for two screw holes in the panel layout. The top termination uses steel screws with a nickel finish; the bottom is closed, meaning the block terminates the wire on the top side only and the circuit continues through an internal bus bar to the adjacent position. The 2-circuit, 4-wire-entry configuration (two wires per circuit) allows daisy-chaining a feed-through and a tap on the same terminal.
