Barrier Block for Power Distribution — 4 Circuits, 25 A per Circuit
The TE Connectivity 1546670-4 is a 4-circuit barrier strip from the Buchanan series, designed for panel-mounted power distribution where each circuit needs to carry up to 25 A at 300 V. The 0.437" (11.10 mm) pitch gives enough terminal spacing for 14-22 AWG wire landed under screw clamps, with a dual-wall barrier between positions to keep stray strands from shorting adjacent terminals.
Wiring and Terminating — Screw Clamp, Closed Bottom
Top termination uses steel screws with a nickel finish — the screw head clamps the conductor against the current bar. The bottom is closed, meaning the screw does not pass through to the other side; this keeps the block compact and prevents accidental contact with live metal behind the panel. With 8 wire entries across 4 circuits, each circuit has two entry points — useful for daisy-chaining or landing a ring terminal alongside a solid wire.
The flange accepts a screw or bolt through each end — the block is meant to be fastened down, not snapped onto a rail. The thermoplastic insulation holds up to the UL94 V-0 flame rating, so the block can be installed inside equipment that requires a flammability-rated component.
