5-Way VAL-U-LOK Receptacle Housing for Wire-to-Board Harnesses
It uses the standard 4.20mm pitch of the VAL-U-LOK series, which mates with the corresponding VAL-U-LOK pin headers.
What You Get — and What You Don't
The housing accepts standard VAL-U-LOK crimp sockets, typically for 18-22 AWG wire. The free-hanging (in-line) mounting style means it's a cable-side connector, not a board-mount; it mates with a through-hole or SMT header soldered to the PCB.
The 4.20mm pitch is wider than the 2.54mm or 3.00mm common on signal connectors, giving more creepage for power applications. Five positions in a single row means the housing is compact — about 21mm wide — and suited for harness branches where space is tight but current per circuit is moderate. The latch lock engages with a positive click on the mating header, which is the primary retention; no secondary locking mechanism is built into this housing.
Operating Range and Material
ROHS3 compliant, so it meets current European material restrictions. The natural (uncolored) nylon is the standard variant; keyed or color-coded versions exist elsewhere in the VAL-U-LOK family but this one is plain.
