The TE Connectivity 1586027-5 is a 5-position, single-row VAL-U-LOK receptacle housing. It uses a 4.20mm pitch — common for mid-power wire-to-board and wire-to-wire interconnects in appliances, automotive interiors, and industrial controls. The housing is free-hanging (in-line) and uses a latch lock for a positive mate. Contacts are not included; you order the female socket crimp terminals separately.
Wiring and Termination
This is a crimp-and-poke housing: you crimp the appropriate VAL-U-LOK female socket terminal onto the wire, then insert it into the cavity until the latch locks. The 4.20mm pitch gives enough room for 18–22 AWG wire without crowding. The white polyamide (nylon) body handles -40°C to 105°C, so it lives in engine compartments and industrial cabinets without issue.
