What the Ratings Mean for Fit
The 18 A per circuit is the per-blade current limit at the rated temperature rise — sized for the main power rail, not a signal line. The tin contact finish (60.0 µin) is a workhorse choice: it handles a few dozen mating cycles reliably, but if your application cycles the connector frequently or runs in a corrosive environment, you would step up to a gold-plated sibling in the same series.
