The 160831-3: It mates to a 0.250" (6.35mm) wide tab with a 0.032" (0.81mm) thickness; the tin-plated brass contact provides a standard-duty interface for power and signal circuits.
Wire gauge and insulation fit
The 160831-3 accepts wire with an insulation diameter of 0.118" to 0.169" (3.00mm to 4.29mm), covering 13.5-17 AWG — the same tab width and thickness as the 160759-3, which handles 16-20 AWG with a narrower insulation range of 0.091" to 0.130" (2.31mm to 3.30mm). Within the Mark I series the 160831-3 uses a brass contact; the 160831-4 is otherwise identical but substitutes phosphor bronze for the contact material.
