It is a crimp-terminated pin designed for 16-18 AWG wire, with a tin-plated brass body. This contact is used inside Multimate III+ connector housings — the same system that powers industrial, automotive, and appliance interconnect harnesses where a proven, field-serviceable crimp contact is required.
This pin accepts 16-18 AWG stranded wire. The crimp termination is standard for the Multimate III+ system — use the manufacturer's designated crimp tool and die set to achieve the specified pull-force and contact resistance. The tin plating on the contact body provides a reliable electrical interface for typical signal-level currents; it does not require the mating-cycle budget of gold, but it also will not tolerate the same number of insertions before wear shows.
