TE Connectivity 164160-3 Multimate III+ Stamped Pin Contact
This is the pin half of the contact pair — it mates with a Multimate III+ socket contact inside the corresponding housing. The tin-plated brass construction keeps cost low for applications where the contact is terminated once and mated infrequently, such as internal power distribution or control cabinet wiring.
Rated for 20-24 AWG stranded wire, the 164160-3 uses a standard crimp barrel that accepts the stripped conductor and insulation simultaneously. The crimp termination is field-serviceable with a common hand tool — no soldering iron needed, which matters when you're re-pinning a connector on a live machine rather than swapping the whole harness. The stamped contact body gives consistent crimp geometry across the full wire range.
Contact Finish and Material
Tin plating on a brass substrate is the standard choice for cost-sensitive, limited-cycle interconnects. For higher mating-cycle duty or corrosive atmospheres, step up to the gold-plated version in the Multimate III+ family.
