Drawer Receptacle Housing for Power Distribution
The TE Connectivity ELCON 1648128-1 is an 8-position drawer-style receptacle housing designed for blind-mate power connections in hot-swap applications. It accepts female socket contacts (ordered separately) and mounts to a panel. The 11.00 mm pitch gives the creepage needed for power-level voltages without crowding the panel cutout. A built-in guide pin aligns the housing during mating, preventing contact damage in drawer or rack-and-panel installations.
8 Power Positions at 11.00 mm Pitch
Eight positions in two rows, each on 11.00 mm centers. That pitch is wide enough for the heavy-gauge contacts typical of power distribution — the housing is sized for the current the terminals carry, not signal density. The 2-row layout keeps the connector compact across the panel face while maintaining the contact-to-contact spacing required for high-voltage creepage.
Panel Mount with Guide Pin
Panel-mount design with a guide pin for alignment. In a drawer or blind-mate application, the guide pin engages first, centering the housing before the contacts touch. That prevents stubbing or bending the socket terminals during insertion.
The housing ships without contacts. This is the most common sourcing miss on this part.
