Crimp Socket for AMPLIMITE HDP-20 D-Sub Housings
It accepts 24-28 AWG wire and carries a gold flash finish on phosphor bronze base metal — the flash plating provides corrosion protection for moderate-duty signal interconnects where mating cycles stay under a few hundred. This is the socket (female) half, intended for use in the receptacle side of an AMPLIMITE HDP-20 connector pair.
The 24-28 AWG range covers the typical signal wire sizes for D-sub applications — 24 AWG for longer cable runs or higher current signal lines, 28 AWG for dense multi-conductor cables. For harness builders, the gold flash contact mates with the matching pin contact in the AMPLIMITE HDP-20 plug housing.
