Crimp termination for 20-24 AWG stranded wire. The stamped brass body accepts the conductor strip length per the AMPLIMITE HDP-20 application tooling spec — standard Mil-spec crimp dies for the contact size. The gold plating extends through the crimp barrel, so the wire-to-contact interface is tin-to-gold if you use tin-plated wire; for galvanic compatibility in corrosive environments, match the wire plating to the contact.
Mates into any standard AMPLIMITE HDP-20 receptacle housing — the stamped pin is the male half of the D-sub contact pair. No special cavity keying — the contact inserts into any position in the HDP-20 insulator.
