D-Sub Plug Housing for Male Contacts — 15-Position DA Shell
It uses the DA shell size (layout 2), which is the standard 15-pin D-sub footprint. This is a shielded housing: it includes an integral backshell, grounding indents, and a tin-plated steel shell with 200 µin (5.08 µm) of plating. The grounding indents bite into the mating receptacle shell to bleed shield current before it reaches the signal pins. The black glass-filled nylon (PA) body is rated for flammability per the series standard.
What Ships and What You Add
You order the male crimp terminals separately (AMPLIMITE HDP-20 signal contacts, 20-24 AWG range) and install them with the appropriate hand or automatic tooling. The housing accepts standard-size D-sub signal contacts in a 2-row layout. The free-hanging design means it terminates a cable assembly, not a panel cutout; the 4-40 threaded inserts on the cable side let you secure the mating half with jackscrews.
