Crimp Socket for the HDP-22 Harness
It accepts 22-28 AWG wire and terminates via crimp, which is the standard method for field-terminated or production harness builds.
Wire Sizing and Termination
Rated for 22-28 AWG, this socket covers the typical signal wire range used in D-sub cable assemblies. The crimp barrel is designed for the stamped contact geometry — use the manufacturer-recommended crimp tool for the HDP-22 series to get the correct crimp height and pull-off force. Bulk packaging means the contacts are loose, intended for machine or hand crimp in production runs.
Mating and Housing Fit
This socket mates with the corresponding pin contacts in any AMPLIMITE HDP-22 plug or receptacle housing. The HDP-22 series uses a standard D-sub shell footprint, so the contact cavity arrangement follows the standard 9/15/25/37 position layouts depending on the housing chosen. Confirm the housing part number for your position count — the contact itself is position-agnostic.
Marked as Active in the lifecycle record — no end-of-life notice on file. RoHS compliance is standard for current TE production of this series.
