Card-edge connector for 0.100" pitch dual-readout boards
The 166087-4: It accepts a card thickness range of 0.057" to 0.072" (1.45 mm to 1.82 mm), which covers standard 1.6 mm PCBs and thicker industrial boards. The dual-row layout gives 4 contacts per row, with phosphor bronze contacts plated in 16.0 µin (0.41 µm) gold.
Pitch and card thickness define the fit
The card thickness window of 0.057" to 0.072" (1.45 mm to 1.82 mm) is wider than many comparable connectors, which often limit to 1.6 mm ±0.1 mm — this gives more tolerance for thicker PCB edges in high-reliability builds. With only 8 positions, this connector is a low-density option compared to typical 20- to 60-position card-edge connectors in the same series. The dual-readout design allows both sides of the PCB edge to carry traces, doubling signal density per slot.
