Stamped pin contact for Mini-Universal MATE-N-LOK housings
It accepts 18-22 AWG wire and terminates via crimp.
The 18-22 AWG range covers the most common signal and low-power wire sizes in a harness. For a Mini-Universal MATE-N-LOK housing, the crimp barrel must be set with the correct tooling for the wire strand count and insulation diameter — the gold plating doesn't change the crimp spec, but the contact beam in the housing relies on the stamped pin profile being consistent. Use the TE application tooling for this series to get the pull-force within spec.
This pin mates into any Mini-Universal MATE-N-LOK receptacle housing that accepts a stamped pin contact. The series is keyed and uses a positive-lock latch on the housing — the gold finish on the pin ensures low contact resistance over the mating cycle life, even if the housing sees occasional washdown or condensation. No separate seal is carried on the contact itself; the IP rating, if any, comes from the housing and gasket.
