Crimp Socket for Mini-Universal MATE-N-LOK Housings
This tin-plated brass socket mates with the corresponding pin terminal in the same series, used in wire-to-wire and wire-to-board power and signal harnesses where a reliable, low-cost crimp connection is needed. The stamped construction keeps per-contact cost down for high-volume production runs.
Wire Sizing and Termination
The 170366-1 accepts 18-22 AWG wire, a range covering common power and signal conductors in automotive and industrial harnesses. The crimp termination requires the matching application tooling for the Mini-Universal MATE-N-LOK contact family — hand crimpers or semi-automatic presses with the correct die set. Tin plating on the contact is suited for connections that are mated infrequently or permanently; for repeated mate-unmate cycles, a gold-plated variant would be preferred.
