At 0.50mm pitch, this connector demands a fine-pitch PCB footprint — the pad width and spacing are tight enough that a standard 0.100-inch header won't fit. The 6 positions keep the connector narrow, so it fits in a corner of the board without crowding adjacent components. The 0.30mm FPC thickness is specified — the contact beams are designed for that gauge. A thinner or thicker FPC may not seat properly or could damage the contacts.
