Board-Edge Ethernet Jack for Shielded Links
The TE Connectivity 1734795-7 is a right-angle, shielded RJ45 jack from the A-RJ45 series, terminated in an 8P8C (8-position, 8-contact) layout matching standard Ethernet cabling.
Through-hole solder termination — the pins pass through the board and are wave-soldered, giving a stronger mechanical anchor than SMT for a jack that sees cable strain. The housing is glass-filled PA9T (Nylon 9T), a high-temperature material that withstands lead-free reflow profiles without distortion. A board guide feature on the part aligns the jack during placement, reducing skew on the pick-and-place line. Bulk packaging means the parts are loose in a bag or tube — no tape-and-reel, so the line feeds from a tube feeder or manual tray, not a reel.
