SAS Receptacle for Backplane Integration
The TE Connectivity 1735164-1 is a 29-position SAS receptacle designed for through-hole solder termination to a PCB. Board guide and board lock features are built in — the guide aligns the connector during blind-mate assembly into a backplane or midplane, and the lock holds it in place through wave solder and subsequent handling.
The through-hole solder termination suits standard wave-solder or selective-solder assembly lines. The board lock feature provides mechanical retention during reflow or wave-solder, reducing tombstoning and shear movement from cable strain. The tray packaging feeds pick-and-place or hand-loading for low-to-medium volume builds.
