Gold-plated crimp tab for Multi-Lock housings
Gold vs tin — same wire, different duty
The 173645-3 carries gold plating, while the 173645-1 and 173645-2 are tin-plated versions of the same tab geometry, same 16-20 AWG range, same crimp termination. For a harness that mates infrequently or lives in a clean environment, tin is adequate; for field-service or corrosive exposure, gold buys extended cycle life without a change in wire preparation or tooling.
