Termination Method and Wire Range
No crimp tool, no stripped wire — just a press. The specified wire range is 26-28 AWG discrete, so the slot geometry is tuned for that strand count and insulation diameter. If you try 30 AWG, the conductor may be too small to be reliably captured; the slot is designed for the 26-28 AWG bundle. The tin-plated female socket contacts are suited for low mating-cycle applications (typically under 25 cycles) where cost per connection is the priority over gold's corrosion resistance.
