2.00 mm IDC Receptacle for Discrete Wire Harnesses
Tin-plated female sockets handle the contact duty; the free-hanging, in-line mounting suits harness applications where the connector sits off the PCB, terminated directly to the wire bundle.
This works with 26-28 AWG discrete wire, and the natural-colour housing accepts the wire in a single pass. The trade-off: IDC connections are less forgiving of repeated rework than crimped terminals, so this connector is best specified for one-time harness assembly where the wire gauge and insulation diameter are controlled.
The free-hanging design means it does not require a board-mount footprint — it terminates to the wire and mates to a header that is either through-hole or SMT soldered to the PCB. The single-row 9-position layout keeps the mated pair narrow, which helps when the connector sits at the edge of a crowded board or inside a shallow enclosure.
