What This Screwlock Kit Does in the AMPLIMITE Line
The TE Connectivity 176152-1 is a jackscrew socket kit for the AMPLIMITE series of D-subminiature connectors. It includes both the 4-40 socket and the 4-40 screw, with the screw measuring 0.312" (7.92 mm) below the head. This is a hardware accessory — not a connector body — used to secure the male and female D-sub halves together after mating, preventing the pair from vibrating loose in industrial or field-service environments. The kit ships in a bag and carries the hardware included feature, meaning the socket and screw arrive as a matched set ready for installation into the D-sub backshell or connector body. The 4-40 thread is the standard UNC size for standard-density D-sub connectors, so this kit replaces the original jackscrews on any AMPLIMITE connector that uses that thread pattern.
The 4-40 thread size on both the socket and screw matches the threaded inserts found on standard AMPLIMITE D-sub connectors. The 0.312" screw length provides enough thread engagement for panel thicknesses up to about 0.06" (1.5 mm) before the screw bottoms out — sufficient for most metal or plastic enclosure walls the D-sub mounts through. If your panel is thicker, check that the screw will still engage the socket threads fully without protruding past the nut. The kit is listed for use with AMPLIMITE series products generally, not a single connector variant. That means it fits across the standard-density, high-density, and mixed-layout AMPLIMITE D-subs as long as the connector body has the 4-40 threaded insert. It does not fit metric-threaded D-subs.
