PCI Express Mini Card Edge Connector — 52-Position SMT Right-Angle
The TE Connectivity 1775862-2 is a 52-position female edge connector designed specifically for PCI Express Mini Card modules. It uses a 0.80 mm pitch dual-row contact arrangement, surface-mounted at a right angle so the Mini Card sits parallel to the motherboard — the standard layout for embedded systems, industrial PCs, and networking appliances that take a mini-PCIe Wi-Fi, cellular, or SSD module. An integral board guide on the connector body aligns the card edge during insertion, protecting the fine-pitch contacts from stubbing damage. The housing is black liquid crystal polymer (LCP) with glass fill, rated for the reflow temperatures of lead-free soldering. The connector accepts a standard 1.00 mm thick PCI Express Mini Card.
Board Layout and Footprint Notes
The 0.80 mm pitch and dual-row layout mean the footprint is tight — the 52 pads occupy about 20.8 mm along the board edge, with routing channels between the rows. The right-angle SMT termination places the card parallel to the motherboard, so the connector's keep-out zone on the board is just the footprint plus the card overhang. The board guide adds two locating features at the ends of the connector body; the PCB layout needs matching alignment holes or slots to take advantage of them.
