8-Circuit PCB Terminal Block with Side Wire Entry
The TE Connectivity Buchanan 1776275-8 is an 8-position, single-level PCB terminal block on a 3.50 mm pitch. The blue polyamide (PA66) housing carries the 8 circuits in one row, each rated 7 A at 250 V, covering standard 24 VDC control loops and 120/240 VAC signal wiring. Termination is screw-clamp with a leaf spring and wire guard — the guard prevents the screw from twisting stranded wire apart, and the leaf spring maintains constant pressure on the conductor as the housing thermally cycles. Accepts 18 to 26 AWG solid or stranded wire. The M2.6 screw is galvanized steel with chromate passivation; the clamp is stainless steel. Recommended tightening torque is 0.28 Nm (2.5 Lb-In).
Pitch and Board Footprint
The 3.50 mm pitch (0.138 inches) sets the terminal-to-terminal spacing on the PCB. For an 8-position block, the overall footprint spans 7 × 3.50 mm from the centre of the first terminal to the centre of the last, plus the mounting hole pattern at each end.
7 A per position at 250 V is the rated maximum for this terminal block in still air at 25 °C. For continuous operation above 25 °C, derate the current per the TE application note for Buchanan terminal blocks. The 250 V working voltage covers most single-phase AC and DC control circuits; for higher voltage applications (e.g., 400 VAC three-phase), use the Buchanan high-voltage series with larger pitch.
