What This Terminal Strip Does in the Panel
The TE Connectivity 1776301-8 is a 3-circuit Eurostyle terminal strip from the 503Si, Buchanan series, designed for chassis or panel mounting. It combines a screw-clamp wire termination with an integrated fuse — the fuse is built into the barrier block, so a single component handles both power distribution and overcurrent protection on the same DIN-rail or panel footprint. The 0.394" (10.00 mm) pitch spaces the three circuits wide enough for 12-22 AWG wire, and the enclosed barrier type prevents accidental shorting between adjacent terminals.
Rated 16 A per circuit at 400 V. The 12-22 AWG wire range accepts solid or stranded copper; the screw termination uses a steel screw with zinc, non-hexavalent chromate finish.
Integrated Fuse — One Less Component to Mount
The fuse feature means the terminal strip itself holds the fuse holder — no separate fuse block or in-line holder needed. This saves panel space and reduces wiring points. The fuse is field-replaceable; the screw terminals remain live while the fuse is changed, so the circuit can be isolated at the upstream breaker before servicing.
The housing is molded from polyamide (PA66), Nylon 6/6, rated for continuous operation from -35°C to 100°C. That temperature range suits unheated industrial cabinets, outdoor telecom enclosures, and near-engine compartments where the ambient can dip below freezing. The gray color is standard for the 503Si series. The bottom termination is closed — the screw terminals are accessible only from the top, so the strip can be mounted flush against a panel or chassis without exposed live metal underneath.
