M12-4 Male Plug for Sealed Harness Runs
The M12-4 shell size and keyed orientation prevent cross-mating with other M12 codings — the threaded coupling ring locks the pair together, and the IP67 seal keeps dust and water out of the junction when mated with the matching female receptacle. Gold-over-nickel plating on the mating contacts (5.90 µin / 0.150 µm) handles repeated connection cycles without corrosion buildup, while the zinc die-cast shell with nickel finish provides RF shielding and mechanical toughness.
Sealing, Current, and Temperature Envelope
The IP67 seal withstands temporary immersion and dust ingress.
Solder cup termination — strip, tin, and solder each conductor into the cup — gives a gas-tight joint without a dedicated crimp tool. The bulkhead rear-side nut secures the plug through a panel cutout, with the threaded coupling ring on the mating face. The keyed orientation aligns the pin pattern before the threads engage, so the 4-position layout cannot be cross-threaded into a different M12 code.
Mating Half and Pinout
Confirm the receptacle's keying position and contact arrangement before committing the harness layout.
