Power Pin Contact for 12-14 AWG Wire — TE Multimate High Current Series
It accepts 12-14 AWG wire, making it the terminal you reach for when a harness needs to carry real current — think power distribution in industrial cabinets, battery interconnects, or heavy equipment wiring.
This is a pin contact — the male half — terminated by crimping onto 12-14 AWG stranded wire. Match it to the correct crimp die for the Multimate contact family to get the specified wire-to-terminal retention.
Gold Plating — 30.0 µin for Repeated Mating
It's chosen for applications where the contact sees multiple mate/unmate cycles over its service life — field maintenance, module swaps, or test points. Tin plating would be cheaper but would wear and oxidize faster under repeated engagement; the gold preserves low contact resistance through hundreds of cycles.
