4-Position 3.50 mm Pitch Plug for Wire-to-Board
The 1986371-4 is a 4-position plug with female sockets on 0.138" (3.50mm) pitch, designed for free-hanging (in-line) wire-to-board connections. It uses a screw - rising cage clamp termination that accepts 14-30 AWG solid or stranded wire, rated 11 A at 300 V.
Screw Clamp Termination and Wire Range
The rising cage clamp mechanism secures wires from 14-30 AWG (0.05-2 mm²) without requiring ferrules, though ferruled conductors are compatible. The M2 screw drives the clamp, and the 270° plug wire entry angle allows angled cable routing in tight enclosures.
Side Stacking and Multi-Level Layout
The side stacking feature lets multiple 1986371-4 plugs be ganged together on the same header to increase circuit count without increasing board width. Each plug is a single-level (1 level) block with 4 positions per level.
