Plug identity and series fit
The 1986692-4 is a 4-position, single-level plug with female sockets from TE Connectivity AMP Connectors, pitched at 0.138" (3.50mm). It terminates wire via a screwless push-in spring — leg spring mechanism — which means no screwdriver needed for the wire clamp, just strip and push. Rated 9 A at 300 V UL, with a wire range of 14-30 AWG (0.05-2 mm²). The housing is green polyamide (PA, Nylon), rated UL94 V-0. Side stacking allows multiple plugs to gang together on a rail without extra hardware.
Wire entry and termination
Wire entry is 180° straight into the plug face. The push-in spring accepts solid or ferruled stranded wire — the leg spring clamps the conductor without a screw, which speeds up panel wiring and avoids torque variability.
