3-Position Terminal Block for PCB — 5.00 mm Pitch, 16 A, Push-Button Clamp
The screwless push-button clamp accepts 12-30 AWG wire.
Wire Termination — Push-Button vs Screw
The 1986711-3 uses a screwless push-button clamp, which is faster to terminate than a traditional screw terminal — no screwdriver needed for solid wire, and the steel clamp holds the conductor without cold flow. The wire range of 12-30 AWG is broader than many screw-type blocks that top out at 14 AWG. The trade-off: push-button clamps are less tolerant of stranded wire with frayed ends — use a ferrule for stranded conductors below 18 AWG to ensure the clamp grips the full cross-section.
