The 1986711-5: The green polyamide (nylon) housing accepts 12-30 AWG wire and is rated 16 A at 300 V, with a horizontal wire entry orientation relative to the board. This is the 5-position member of the 1986711 base series, intended for fixed-wire power distribution on a PCB where quick field termination without a screwdriver is the priority.
The 16 A per-position rating at 300 V means this block can carry a branch circuit load on a distribution board without derating at room ambient.
Screwless push-button clamp — what it changes in the build
The push-button clamp accepts 12-30 AWG solid or stranded wire without a screwdriver — press the button, insert the stripped wire, release. The steel clamp plate grips the conductor, and the tin-plated copper alloy contact carries the current. This termination style speeds field wiring on a production line or in a panel where the installer has limited tool access.
