The 1986716-2 is a 2-position plug for unshrouded headers, part of TE's terminal block plug family. It uses a screwless push-in spring termination that accepts 16-20 AWG wire with an 8.5-10mm strip length — no tool needed beyond wire prep. Rated 2 A at 150 V, this plug is suited for signal-level control wiring inside an enclosure. The push button actuator releases the spring for wire insertion and extraction; side stacking lets you gang multiple plugs side-by-side on the same header without losing position count.
