3.50mm pitch push-in plug for unshrouded headers
This TE Connectivity AMP Connectors 1986716-3 is a 3-position plug for unshrouded headers at 0.138" (3.50mm) pitch — mates directly with standard 3.50mm pitch unshrouded pin headers. Termination is screwless push-in spring, accepting 16-20 AWG solid or stranded wire with a strip length of 8.5-10mm. No crimp tool needed on the harness floor; the spring holds the conductor against the tin-plated steel contact. Rated 2 A at 150 V per UL, with a -40°C to 110°C operating range and a UL94 V-0 polyamide housing. The green color and 0.492" (12.50mm) insulation height are visual identifiers on the board.
Push button release and side-stacking for field service
The push button actuator releases the plug from the header without prying — speeds rework in control panels. Side-stacking feature lets multiple plugs sit side-by-side on adjacent header pins, saving panel width. Plug wire entry is 90° (right-angle), routing wires parallel to the board surface. Free-hanging (in-line) mounting keeps the plug off the PCB surface, useful for wire-to-board connections in tight enclosures.
