4-Position 3.50mm Pitch Plug for Unshrouded Headers
The 1986716-4 is a 4-position plug designed to mate with unshrouded male headers on a 0.138" (3.50mm) pitch. It terminates wires via a screwless leg spring, push-in mechanism — no screwdriver needed for the contact, just strip and push.
Push-In Spring Termination and Wire Range
Accepts 16-20 AWG (0.5-1.3mm²) solid or stranded wire with a strip length of 8.5-10mm. The push-in spring holds the conductor without a clamp screw — the leg spring deflects on insertion and grips the wire. The push button actuator releases the spring for wire removal, making field changes or rework straightforward without special tooling.
Mating and Side-Stacking Feature
Mates with standard 0.138" (3.50mm) pitch unshrouded male headers. The side-stacking feature allows multiple plugs to be ganged side-by-side on the same header, increasing circuit density without additional hardware. Contact mating finish is tin, rated for moderate mating cycle counts typical of field-installed terminal blocks.
