3.81 mm Pitch, 3-Position Terminal Block Plug with Push-In Termination
The 1986720-3 is a 3-position plug from the TE Connectivity AMP Connectors terminal block line, using a 0.150" (3.81 mm) pitch. It is a female socket plug designed for free hanging (in-line) mounting with a straight 180° wire entry. Termination is screwless — a leg spring, push-in spring mechanism secures the conductor without a screwdriver. This speeds field wiring and eliminates torque checks on the assembly line. Rated 9 A at 300 V per UL, the plug handles typical control and signal-level power in industrial panels. The tin-plated copper alloy contacts mate with the matching header pins.
Wire Range and Side Stacking for Multi-Level Wiring
Accepts wire from 14 AWG down to 30 AWG (0.05 to 2 mm²), covering the common field wiring sizes for terminal blocks in control cabinets and junction boxes. A side stacking feature lets multiple 1986720-3 plugs be ganged side-by-side on the same header to create multi-level wiring without extra brackets or jumpers. The single-level design means each plug occupies one row of the header.
