26-Position IDC Plug for 0.100" Ribbon Cable
The TE Connectivity AMP-Latch 2-111446-0 is a 26-position IDC plug designed for mass-termination to 26-28 AWG ribbon cable. It carries the standard 0.100" (2.54mm) pitch on two rows with the same 0.100" row spacing, making it a direct mate for the matching AMP-Latch shrouded header. The feed-through feature allows the ribbon cable to pass straight through the plug body, simplifying cable routing in daisy-chain or pass-through harness configurations.
This plug accepts 26-28 AWG stranded ribbon cable with the IDC (insulation displacement) termination method. The IDC contacts pierce the insulation on each conductor simultaneously when the cable is pressed into the connector body with a hand or pneumatic press — no stripping or soldering. The 26-position count matches the number of conductors on a standard 26-conductor ribbon cable, so every wire lands on a dedicated contact.
The header side is typically a through-hole or surface-mount pin header with the matching 0.100" row spacing.
It is RoHS Compliant. There is no official replacement or successor on record — the part is the current offering for this 26-position IDC plug configuration.
