The TE Connectivity AMP-Latch 2-111626-2 is a 44-position IDC receptacle designed for mass-termination to 28 AWG ribbon cable. It uses the standard 0.079" (2.00mm) pitch across two rows, with a matching 0.079" row spacing, making it compatible with the full AMP-Latch header family. The feed-through feature allows the cable to pass straight through the connector body, which simplifies daisy-chaining multiple receptacles on the same ribbon cable without a separate breakout.
Termination and Contact Design
Termination is IDC — the cable is pressed into the slot, and the insulation displacement forks pierce each conductor simultaneously. The contacts are female sockets with 30.0µin (0.76µm) gold plating on the mating surface, which provides reliable low-level signal performance over repeated mating cycles. The housing is free-hanging (in-line), so no panel cutout or board mount is needed; the connector simply terminates the cable end and mates with a board-mounted header.
